NEIGHBORHOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (NAP)

Since 1952 Norfolk Christian Schools has served the communities of Hampton Roads and today over 1900 of our graduates are impacting communities around the world. In 2008 the Dunlap Garrick Christian Community Foundation (DGCCF) announced a partnership with Norfolk Christian Schools to benefit our families and students. The partnership specifically gives families of low-income the opportunity to realize their dream of the highest quality Christian education for their children.

In 2009 the DGCCF was accepted into the Virginia Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP). NAP Credits were developed as an incentive for individuals and businesses to make charitable donations to organizations like the DGCCF who are committed to helping the economically deprived. Through this program charitable contributions can be made to the DGCCF that directly benefit the Norfolk Christian low-income tuition assistance program while earning the donor a 40% State income tax credit.

Based on our philosophy of partnership, families that receive tuition aid always pay some portion of their annual tuition. Contributions made through the DGCCF to earn NAP Credits will provide for a higher than normal percentage of tuition aid to families of low-income who demonstrate the need. This aid provides opportunities in academics, the arts, athletics, character building, leadership and spiritual development that simply would not be available without it.
