Something that always seems to surprise the families that occasionally come to the school offices during the summer is the fact that the administrative staff works through the months of July and August. There is a steady hum of business here while the students are taking a break from the fast pace of the school year. We spend the summer reviewing curriculum, ordering new supplies, interviewing and hiring teachers, processing applicants - generally doing all those things that make a school work. It is necessary work but we do miss the presence of the children in the schools.

We are almost ready for the students to return on August 23. I particularly look forward to seeing the halls and classrooms filled with activity. I hope to see the families at the football games this fall and at the class visitations. We are also having a Parent Education Night in October. Stay tuned for more information on that event.

If you are at the upper school campus, please stop by to say "hello" to me. We have made a few changes this year is scheduling and in the grading scale. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have.
