HOMECOMING 2019

HOMECOMING 2019

We had perfect weather for Homecoming on September 27th as students from all three campuses came together to show their NCS Spirit. From the traditional Powder Puff game and pep rally to evening tailgating, an alumni celebration, homecoming court and a fantastic night of football, it was a spectacular evening of Ambassador community! Our Varsity football team brought the 31-19 win on their home field and ended the evening with their post-game ritual, linking arm and arm and singing the Doxology before leaving the field. #GOCHRISTIAN!

A huge thanks to Photography teacher Amanda Rimmer and Alumni Parent Jason Axsom for capturing these photos of the day!

Upper School Welcome Assembly

Our Upper School family had a great time welcoming new students and seeing teachers showcase their departments in the Parade of Teachers. Some brave department leaders were “mummified” in the teacher relay and the High School beat the Middle School for this year’s relay champion title. It was a lively and fun way to start a new year!

Welcome Back, Ambassadors!!

It’s been a great kick-off to a brand new year at all of our campuses! Upper School students came back to a “new” Main Street with casual seating, tech plug-ins and student art lining the hall, as well as a remodeled Graphics Lab. A newly painted Smith Gym floor is almost complete in the athletic wing and our Beach Campus is eagerly awaiting brand new playground equipment in early September. We are thankful to God for His provision and can’t wait to see all that He will do this year through His Ambassadors. You are the reason we are here!

Summer Superstars

Our students were busy this summer showing their skills. We love to see our Ambassadors in action!

Sophomores Jasmine Hair and Gabrielle Robinson represented NCS as VA delegates at the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists’ Congress in Boston.
Sophomore Elena Lapetina and seniors Brennen and Tilden Puckett were chosen out of thousands to join the incredible gospel choir in Pharrell’s upcoming Netflix series, then were showcased with solos during the filming!
Freshman Micayah Holland and 7th grade sister Jizelle both qualified for the Junior Olympics at the AAU Track Championship in June. Micayah is the 2019 100m Dash Champion and silver medalist in the 200m and Jizelle qualified in the 100m, long jump and high jump!
Junior Gabe Randall (3rd from left) was captain of the 2019 National Champion Bible Quiz Team for the East Coast region. Gabe’s team was quizzed over the book of John and went undefeated all 3 days!

Ambassador Award Winners 2019

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2019 AMBASSADOR AWARD WINNERS!

The Ambassador Award is the highest honor given at Norfolk Christian, awarded to students who not only display the character traits of Leadership, Citizenship and Service, but in turn use those gifts to dedicate their time, energy, and focus to their Lord and their school with integrity and honor. On the stage and behind the scenes, on the athletic field, in the classroom and with their classmates, these students selflessly emulate the character of Christ to all. Student winners of the Ambassador Award embody all it means to be an Ambassador for Christ, allowing the light of God’s truth to shine through them and cause the world to want to know Him better.
